David is a co-founder of H2O Venture Partners. Besides the management of H2O, he has led the development of Microbial Solutions and 360 Genomics.
Prior to H2O, David was co-founder of Oxitec, a 2002 biotechnology spinout from Oxford University developing pesticide-free methods for the control of insects of agricultural and public health importance. His early academic career in public health included posts at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine and Oxford University as well as substantial spells conducting field research in Africa and Latin America. He holds a PhD in tropical medicine from the LSH&TM at which institution is an honorary senior lecturer.
